Sotuta De Peón is a working hacienda located to the north of the capital city of Mérida, Yucatán.  

The hacienda is owned and managed by my sister in-laws family.  The hacienda grows and harvests hemp that can be used for roping and other products.   It is also a small rustic resort with a beautiful pool area and the best kitchen in all of the Yucatán. 

The owners have helped the sourrounding pueblos to become self-sufficient and generate income through the products they produce.
